Kaara Saaram Claypot Advances Global Expansion Plans with Nairobi Trade Mission

10–14 October 2026
Kaara Saaram Claypot Kenya Trade Mission 1

NAIROBI, October 2026 — Kaara Saaram Claypot (KSC) took another step towards international expansion through its participation in the Integrated International Trade Mission to Nairobi, Kenya, held from 10 to 14 October 2026 under the Enhanced Direct Selling Development and Franchise Internationalisation programme.

Following its registration as a franchisor with Malaysia’s Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), KSC’s participation forms part of its strategic global expansion plan to introduce authentic Malaysian Indian dining to international markets.

Known for its signature claypot dishes and banana leaf-wrapped specialities, KSC combines freshly prepared, piping hot meals with a distinctive dining experience. The mission provided an opportunity to showcase the brand, engage potential business partners and gain insights into Kenya’s consumer preferences and business landscape.

Several individuals and companies expressed interest in exploring opportunities to bring KSC to Kenya, including through franchise and joint venture arrangements. These preliminary engagements provide a foundation for further discussions on suitable partnerships and market entry plans.

KSC also participated in the African Commerce and Industry Summit in Nairobi on 14 October 2026, further extending its business connections and understanding of opportunities across the region.

KSC extends its sincere appreciation to KPDN, PERNAS and His Excellency Ruzaimi bin Mohamad, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Kenya, for their support in facilitating international opportunities for Malaysian brands.

Building on the momentum of the mission, KSC looks forward to progressing discussions with prospective partners as it pursues sustainable growth in Kenya and the wider East African market.
