KOTA KINABALU, September 2026 — Kaara Saaram Claypot (KSC) joined local and international exhibitors at the 11th Sabah International Expo (SIE 2026), held from 4–6 September 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre, with the exhibition planned to feature 300 booths.
Participating under the PERNAS Pavilion for the first time, KSC showcased its franchise opportunity as part of its expansion strategy into Sabah and Sarawak, with Kota Kinabalu a priority location.
Known for its signature claypot dishes and banana leaf-wrapped specialities, KSC aims to bring its distinctive Malaysian Indian heritage cuisine and piping hot, made-to-order dining experience to communities across East Malaysia.
KSC was honoured to welcome YB Datuk Ewon Benedick, Sabah’s Third Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport (MINDET), who graced the booth and expressed his wish to see KSC’s unique cuisine brought to Sabah.
The brand also welcomed a delegation from the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) Sabah Chapter, led by its Chairman, Datuk Susan Chang, strengthening connections with the local business community.
KSC extends its sincere appreciation to PERNAS for facilitating its participation, and to YB Datuk Ewon Benedick, Datuk Susan Chang and the MICCI Sabah delegation for their visits and encouragement.
KSC welcomes individuals and companies keen to become franchise or joint venture partners in Sabah and Sarawak, supported by its Halal-certified central kitchen, training, branding and operational guidance.
